Day 19 is Galaxies. I realised today I’ve never actually done a Galaxy nail before – I love them!
I started with a base of OPI Lady in Black, two coats. Next, I added a coat of piCture pOlish Gravity – one of a set of stunning holographics they produced earlier in the year (practically instant galaxies in a bottle!).
Galaxies are made by sponging layers of colour over the base to create the Milky Way effect. I started sponging small patches of Barry M Vivid Purple, then sponged piCture pOlish Bette over the top.
Next, I added some very light sponging of OPI Alpine Snow, and covered those with a little more Bette to tone down the white.
Next I added a few stars with Alpine Snow and a small dotting tool, before finishing with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Topcoat.
