Nailblazer || Barry M Gelly AW14 Collection Part 1: Swatches & Review

Last month, Barry M brought out six additions to their Gelly range, at the very reasonable £3.99 each.  Naturally I snapped them up in the first few days!

I’ll hold my hands up, I’m a little late to the party with this post – 31 Day Challenge got in the way….but this was the first collection I bought with the intention of swatching and reviewing, so I can hardly not do it!

If I had to describe these shades in one word, it would be ‘earthy’. They’re very earthy tones, which you don’t see very often and are perfect for autumn.

Chilli – two coats
A terracotta red – earthy!

Paprika – two coats
A browny, caramel orange

Mustard – two coats
A dark, muted yellow

Cocoatwo coats
A medium, chocolatey brown

Cardamom – two coats
A dark green with hints of teal

Chai – two coats
A medium grey with green tones

The Gelly range is always consistent with the smooth application and high shine, and these new shades are no exception.

I’m not sure all of the shades suit me particularly (maybe earthy isn’t my thing?) but through swatching, I really fell in love with Cocoa, such a gorgeous brown!

All six shades are available from Boots and Superdrug, and online from Barry M.

Stay tuned for Part 2 where I’ll be comparing these shades to some of my existing range – any new collection still has to fit the stash! 😉

Which one(s) do you love? Let me know in the comments below.

Enjoy! 🙂
