Alongside my swatching, this month I’ll be doing a series of awareness manis.
The first is for Wave of Polish, an initiative set up to raise awareness of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day and fundraise for SANDS through pink and blue manis and nail polish auctions. Visit the Facebook page for more details.
To create this mani, I started with a base of Barry M Silk Mist on my index and little fingers, and Blossom on my thumb, middle and ring fingers.
These are lovely, delicate polishes but they aren’t the thickest! I used three coats to get full coverage.
Once dry, I used some hex glitter from Maybelline Acid Wash Top Splatter and did some glitter placement in the corner of each nail.
To draw my little white awareness ribbons, I used a nail art pen from the new WAH London range. I’ll get a review of these up soon, but they’re pretty darn good! They’ve got super thin nibs and a striping brush so can cover most of your nail art needs in one nifty little product.
On my thumb I added a coat of Nails Inc Garden Party Westbourne Gardens and finished with a coat of HK Girl.
Enjoy! 🙂
