Reading || The Life-Saving Magic of a Good Book
HAPPY SUMMER! Or not. Because today is officially shite. Firstly, it is raining on an almost biblical scale. Secondly, we’re emerging from a double whammy of hate, following last week’s horrific assault on the LGBTQIA community in Orlando, and the senseless murder of Jo Cox. Finally, I’m quite convinced that we’re approximately three days from a xenophobia-fuelled self-imposed exile from the EU. Needless to say, I am not full of the joy of Summer.

Reading || May Reads
How has May come and gone already?! I had a similar experience to April – too many challenges, too little time. I also read some cracking books – three warranted five stars!
Reading || April Reads
April reminded me of the downside to signing up to too many reading challenges – namely, forcing myself to struggle through book just because it fits in with a prompt. Author surnames beginning with ‘U’ are not common!

March saw fewer offensively awful books (at least, in comparison to last month’s regrettable foray into Ian Fleming…) and the delightful discovery that I love YA!

February’s reading was at least slightly more diverse (I say that fully acknowledging that two female and one non-white authors does not diversity make) thanks to signing up to a variety of Goodreads challenges.
