Nailblazer || Mini Mani Manor Days 14 & 15

Behind Door #14 Unrestricted Glam. The consistency of this formula was quite jelly-like so it could have used a third coat in places, but looked opaque enough for the art I wanted to do.

Style is a way to say who you are without speaking

I’m not a great one for making new friends – I rarely have the confidence to just walk up to someone and introduce myself (networking events are my worst nightmare!). However, I’ve found that doing nail art is starting to change that.

Confidence – I find when I’m wearing nail art that I’m proud of, I’m automatically more confident; making me less afraid to talk to new people

Conversation – I’ve had so many people come up to me to compliment my nails – an instant conversation starter!

Personality – If you don’t talk, you don’t offer anything to your audience. Painting rainbow owls on my nails shows people there’s more to me than my silence.

This design was inspired by the super talented Tam, aka Oh My Gosh Polish. Head over to her Instagram to see the original.
To get this look I used OPI Alpine Snow to sponge the snow on the nail tips and used a dotter to add falling snow. On the ring finger I used a striping brush to draw the tree, adding Models Own Misty Grey for shading.I finished with Models Own Matt Topcoat.

Behind Door #15 – Slumber Party, a multicoloured glitter. Another loose glitter, Ciate what are you doing to me!!

The best colour in the whole world is the one that looks good on you

 I’ve spoken before about how important it is to show your personality. Part of that is about knowing what works for you, not what other people think is the best look or the latest fashion. Even more important is to try things out! How do you know what’s going to work if you haven’t tried?

I used to always wear dark green, purple or blue and that was basically it. Thanks to my polish hoarding, I’ve now discovered how much I like pastels, neons, golds and silvers, and how tans and greys are less flattering.

Have you discovered any new colours that look great on you? Give me a shout in the comments or on social media and let me know

Enjoy!
